* AIDS | एड्स oइसका मतलब है वह बीमारी, जो शरीर मैं प्रतिरक्षा कम करके, लक्षण देता है। देखें एड्स (AIDS) का कया मतलब है? oउपार्जित प्रतिरक्षी अपूर्णता सहलक्षण
* Anemia | अनिमिया oजब लाल रक्त कोशिका की गिनती (RBC Count), लाल रक्त कोशिका में हिमोग्लोबिन (Hemoglobin) प्रोटिन और हिमाटोक्रिट (Hematocrit) कम हो जाता है, तो उसे अनिमिया (anemia) कहते हैं। इससे शरीर के विभिन्न अंगों में हवा (आकसिजन) और खाना ठीक तरह से नहीं पहुँचता है। इससे कमजोरी, थकान और अरुचि महसूस होता है। मरीज पीला (pale) लगते हैं। देखें संपूर्ण रक्त गणना (सि बी सि) (Complete Blood Count, CBC) कया है?
* Angiogram | एंजीयोग्राम oरक्त वाहिका या खून के नसों का एक्सरे द्वारा जांच। इसमें नस में एक पतला सुई घुसा के रंग सामग्री डाला जाता है, और बाद में उसका एक्सरे द्वारा चित्र लिया जाता है।
* Appendix | अपेंडिक्स = अंतड़ी से जोड़ी हुई छोटा अंग (उपांग, उण्डुकपुच्छ), जिसका शरीर में कोई महत्वपूर्ण काम नही होता है।
* Artery | आरटरी = रक्तवाहिनी
* Asthma | आस्थमा = दमा
* Atherosclerosis | एथ्रोसक्लेरोसिस oअगर खून में कोई कारण से बहुत अधिक लिपिड हो तो, तो यह खून के नसों (Blood vessel) में जमा होकर उसे संकुचित कर देता है (Narrowing) या फिर जाम कर देता है (Blockage)। इसको एथ्रोसक्लेरोसिस (Atherosclerosis) कहते हैं, और यह समय के साथ और बढते जाता है। अंत में यह विभिन्न अंगों में क खून के प्रवाह को कम करके नुकसान पहुँचाता है, जैसे कि दिल का दौरा (heart attack) या सदमा (stroke)।

* Barium enema | बेरीयम एनिमा oटटी के रास्ते के निचले भाग में पलास्टिक के नली द्वारा बेरीयम का रंग सामग्री डाला जाता है, और बड़ी अंतड़ी का एक्सरे द्वारा चित्र लिया जाता है।
* Basal Metabolic Rate | बेसल मेटाबोलिक रेट
* Biopsy | बाईओपसी = किसी बीमारी का निदान निकालने के लिय एक जांच, जिसमें शरीर के किसी अंग से सेल (Cell | कोशिका) और टिशू (Tissue | तंतु) निकाल कर, उसे माईक्रोस्कोप (Microscope | सूक्ष्मदर्शी) से देखा जाता है।
* Blood clot | बल्ड क्लोट = खून का जमना, खून का थक्का
* Body Mass Index, BMI | बोडी मास इंडेक्स = एक संख्या है जो यह बताता है कि आपका स्वास्थ्य कैसा है। इससे पता चलता है कि, आप दूसरे लोगों के अनुपात में, किस वर्ग में आते हैं, जैसे कि कमजोर, सामान्य, अधिक वजन या मोटापा है। इस जांच से आप जान सकते हैं कि आप को किन बीमारीयों का होने का संमभावना है?
* Brain | ब्रेन = दिमाग, बुद्धि, मस्तिष्क oForebrain | फोरब्रेन - सबसे आगे बनता है । यह याददाश्त (Memory) और तर्क-वितर्क (Reasoning) करने का क्षमता देता है। oMidbrain | मिडब्रेन - बीच में बनता है। यह दिमाग और शरीर के विभिन्न अंगों और हाथ-पैर के साथ सूचना का आदान-प्रादान रखता है। जैसे कि अगर किसी चीज से हाथ में चोट लगता है, तो यह दर्द का सूचना दिमाग को मिलता है, और पलक झपकते ही दिमाग, उस जगह से हाथ हटाने का, आदेश देता है। oHindbrain | हाईंडब्रेन - सबसे पीछे बनता है। यह सांस लेना को स्वचलित करता है। साथ ही अन्य मांस-पेशियों को भी संचालित करता है।
